Provide equal protection to ALL babies in Texas!

WHEREAS over 30,000 preborn babies a year are still being murdered by abortion on Texas soil because a MASSIVE legal loophole keeps self-induced abortion legal in Texas, and

WHEREAS merely banning clinics, doctors, and pharmacies from performing abortions while keeping self-induced abortion legal for women has completely failed to abolish abortion in Texas, and

WHEREAS pregnant women remain unprotected from being pressured to abort by men and others because Texas law does not treat abortion as homicide, and

WHEREAS the Texas Republican platform states, “We urge lawmakers to enact legislation to abolish abortion by immediately securing the right to life and equal protection of the laws to all preborn children from the moment of fertilization,” and

WHEREAS Jesus commands us to love our neighbor as ourselves, and

WHEREAS the U.S. Constitution says, “No state shall deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws,” now, therefore...

 "I urge Texas officials to prioritize establishing the equal protection of the laws for preborn children from the moment of fertilization by supporting HB 163 to abolish abortion and make murdering anyone illegal for everyone in Texas.

“And further: I urge Texas officials to not waste time and more lives by supporting other legislation that denies equal protection, merely regulates the circumstances of abortion, or would have little to no deterrent effect on the commission of prenatal homicide in Texas."
